Project Background

In the early 2020s, the Pointe-au-Père maritime historic site sought to renew the visitor experience aboard the submarine Onondaga. La bande à Paul was entrusted with the project and chose to collaborate with CREO, a firm specializing in digital gamification.

What La bande à Paul Brought to the Table

The visitor experience aboard the Onondaga was expanded through an outdoor interactive installation titled The Super Powers of the Onondaga Submarine—a three-level journey designed to engage, inform, and delight. First, visitors engage with tactile, mechanical interactives; next, digital elements introduce principles related to submarine navigation and behaviour; finally, textual content shares historical context and personal anecdotes. This structure allowed for a more dynamic and engaging approach to content, balancing play with learning in a format accessible to all ages.
