Mini Mondo | Montreal science center

Permanent exhibition 2021 | Montreal science center

Project Background

The Montreal Science Centre partnered with La bande à Paul to create Mini Mondo, a new permanent exhibition designed for children aged 0 to 7.

The goal: to introduce young visitors to complex ideas – ecology, environmental stewardship, and sustainable development – through immersive exploration.

What La bande à Paul Brought to the Table

The exhibition is built around varied modes of interaction that offer children and their caregivers moments of wonder across familiar settings: city, river, forest, and more. These environments are rendered in large-scale, detail-rich illustrations by Claudia Fortin that are playful, vivid, and densely populated. Interactive elements woven throughout the space invite children to observe, touch, listen, smell, choose, and manipulate. Through this embodied play, they begin to internalize the foundational principles that shape responsible, resilient futures.
