Project Background

The Canadian branch of the United Nations Refugee Agency sought to bear witness to the lived experiences of refugees through a travelling exhibition titled On the Frontlines of the Global Climate Crisis. La bande à Paul was selected to design and realize the project.

What La bande à Paul Brought to the Table

The exhibition focused on photographs documenting the impact of climate change on displaced populations around the world. Working with the concept of instability as a conceptual anchor, La bande à Paul developed a scenographic approach designed to elicit both emotional response and critical awareness. The structures highlighting the work of the Agency’s contributors were developed using sustainable practices and designed to meet the logistical requirements of a touring installation.
