Electrium | Hydro-Québec’s interpretation centre

Permanent exhibition 2023 | Hydro-Québec

Project Background

The Électrium is Hydro-Québec’s interpretation centre dedicated to electricity and its many forms. In 2021, Hydro asked La bande à Paul to refresh the content and layout of the permanent exhibition.

What La bande à Paul Brought to the Table

To revamp the Électrium, originally opened in 1991, La bande à Paul introduced solutions designed to ensure an engaging visitor experience and a cohesive visual language throughout the space. La bande à Paul restructured the exhibition into three major zones: What is electricity?, How is it produced?, and How do we use it? Each section was designed to foster curiosity, with interactive modules that allow visitors to explore physical phenomena, technological innovations, and societal impacts. The result is a more fluid and intuitive experience that sparks engagement and reflection at every age.
