Project Background

In 2013, the cultural programming team at BAnQ asked La bande à Paul to help design and produce a temporary exhibition introducing philosophy to children aged 8 to 12. The exhibition was to be integrated into the Espace Jeunes at the basement level of the Grande Bibliothèque.

What La bande à Paul Brought to the Table

Philosophy for children might seem like a daunting or dry subject. The goal, then, was to find an angle that made the material playful, engaging, and accessible, without diluting its core message. Designed as a series of interactive games, Penser ! Une expérience philo (Think! A Philosophy Experience) took the form of a journey through questions and ideas. Each station posed a thought-provoking question and invited young visitors to respond through a gesture, action, or decision that expressed their point of view.
