Outdoor interpretation circuit 2018 | SEPAC

Project Background

In 2018, the staff of Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville – managed by Sépaq – launched a call for proposals to create new discovery stops across the site. Their aim was to showcase both the park’s deep history (archaeological sites and remnants) and its living ecosystems (wildlife, flora, and hydrography). La bande à Paul answered the call in partnership with Collectif Escargo.

What La bande à Paul Brought to the Table

In a park where human presence and nature are in continuous dialogue, the creative approach aimed to evoke a sense of timeless habitation through landscapes shaped and reshaped by seasonal rhythms. The concept revolved around three principles: multitude, movement, and energy. Each discovery stop offers a distinct, site-specific encounter, telling a unique story through the language of space and the immediacy of the senses. Designed to awaken the senses, the human-scale installations are interactive without relying on electronics, encouraging visitors to explore through touch, sound, and sight.
