Heritage tour Opémican in the days of log driving

Outdoor interpretation circuit 2019 | SEPAQ

Project Background

Looking to spotlight the former Opémican log driving station in the Témiscamingue region, Sépaq enlisted La bande à Paul to bring this heritage site to life. The goal? To transform it into a major draw for the park and a regional asset with long-term impact.

What La bande à Paul Brought to the Table

For this unique historic site, La bande à Paul designed a two-kilometre interpretive trail dotted with 14 discovery stations. Visitors, especially families, are invited to explore the site’s forested paths, discovering remnants of the old timber station through sensory cues and sheer curiosity. Inside select buildings, immersive multimedia experiences evoke unexpected emotions. Outdoors, storytelling stations highlight the site’s history and invite younger visitors to take part in a quirky, hands-on rally. A seamless fusion of nature and culture, designed for discovery.
