BDQ: the Art of Québec Cartoonists | POP museum

Temporary exhibition 2016 | POP museum

Project Background

The Musée POP in Trois-Rivières invited La bande à Paul to design a temporary thematic exhibition exploring the world of Québec comics and the people behind them. The goal was twofold: to shed light on the creative process behind comic art and to showcase the key figures shaping this vibrant, fast-growing scene.

What La bande à Paul Brought to the Table

To create an experience that felt both human and accessible, La bande à Paul chose early on to foreground the artists themselves, presenting striking black-and-white portraits of each. Around the perimeter of the exhibition space, the eight major stages in comic creation were illustrated through eight oversized comic panels and a visual language drawn from the world of graphic storytelling.
