Concept for the redevelopment of the institution spaces | Lac Boivin nature interpretation center in Granby

Consulting mandate Museum concept 2023 | Lac Boivin nature interpretation center in Granby

Project Background

The Centre d’interprétation de la nature du Lac Boivin in Granby was founded by nature enthusiasts and offers trails, lookouts, and footbridges for exploring a rich and varied ecosystem. In 2023, the Centre’s leadership engaged La bande à Paul to provide consulting services aimed at rethinking and optimizing its public spaces.

What La bande à Paul Brought to the Table

As part of the mandate, La bande à Paul conducted a site analysis and developed a series of recommendations for improving the layout of the Interpretation Centre. These included proposals to better organize the existing rooms in the Centre’s original building, adding storage solutions and modifying partitions where appropriate. Preliminary plans were also drawn up for a new facility dedicated to welcoming school groups and hosting annual programming, including rental services. Throughout, attention was given to natural light and acoustics to ensure a functional and welcoming environment.
